TOTALLY! It's a bit like in Prison Break, really, when Michael Scofield succeeds and you just get that 'OMG HE'S SUCH A GENIUS' vibe. That's why I love PB so much, it reminds me of Artemis Fowl!

When Arty wins, we're all basically being told that no one can beat him. No matter how bad the situation looks, he'll always get his Irish arse out of there!

Yeah!! I love all that stuff! Every time a plan goes right Eoin manages to make you feel a total elation, and sometimes even let go of a breath you didn't know you were holding! XD. The ending of the Eternity Code is one of the best book endings I've read. It was so utterly fantastic! And you really felt Spiro's sinking feeling! Grin

I think that I went cross-eyed with joy at that point. I do agree that besides the unfortunate incident of Butler, That book was excellent (but the Butler part wasn't so bad since sacrifices must be made and stories would be pretty boring without any bad happening).

The beginning was fantastic! I read the first chapter on the internet before it came out so I was convinced Artemis was going to get shot! And I loved the whole Cryogenics thing.

  '...Did you?'
  'Well, I have now.'
'Ok, little man, you know what wer'e going to do? We're going to bury you alive!'
  ' Shocked Oh, the horror!!'

The beginning was great, but I am trying to decide between the scene where Butler comes and haunts Arno Blunt, and ' "I am Artemis the Hunter. I hunted you." Then Artemis disappeared.' Both of those parts were fantastic and gave me shivers when I read them.

THE ETERNITY CODE IS MY ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE AF BOOK EVER.  It even beats TTP because... well, I don't want to say because then there'd be a spoiler in this post.

I have a LOT of favorite bits, including all the ones with Mulch in them, but my very favorite would be when Spiro catches Artemis in the C Cube vault.  That's when I thought even Artemis couldn't possibly worm out of THIS.  But as always, he had a backup plan.  I thought the Phonetix twist was really ingenious.  And who could forget Spiro's line-"Maybe I should pay your wages in dung."  Just paraphrasing from memory, because my copy of Book 3 is currently on a ship, drifting towards me, but I think I got it right since I've read TEC countless times.

Hehe, Artemis always wins. It's like a rule. No matter how much it looks like he's losing, he will ALWAYS win ^_^

And TEC had many of the great Artemis Fowl quotes!
