Though I love all the Artemis Fowl books, Arctic incident is my favorite as it shows the human side to Artemis' character which is generally impassive and seems unable to feel stuff.

I liked the way Foaly outsmarted Cudgeon and Opal with Artemis' laptop. The part about his singed hindquarters was funny too. It's a good thing Caballine doesn't dance!

I don't agree about the boring part, but it was actually my least favorite book...it just wasn't—as you said—as interesting as the rest. Undecided

Most good books have a few boring parts. The Arctic Incident isn't bad to me, but not the favorite...  Sad

By now, Arctic Incident has been my 2nd favorite book from Artemis series.
The Goblin rebellion is pretty cool on it you can still see little signs of ''Evil'' Artemis on it, hehe.

This book is JUST AWESOME! My favourite part was when... It was chapter two (forgot what it was called) In my opinion it was the best of the whole series.

Yea.....I think that it should have been the B'wa Kell wanted to kill everyone in the LEP for pleasure, go kill mudpeople, then take over the universe with Opal Koboi behind the plot.

The scenes with Foaly were actually my favorite part of the book, as well as the scenes in Koboi labs.  The book's not my favorite overall, but those scenes are among my favorites in the series.
Foaly's one of the better characters in the book. He features in a lot of the funny scenes and is intelligent. (Come on. Characters that are really stupid like Pex and Chips are not very amusing.) Artemis doesn't joke enough and is too cold. The paranoia and the foil bonnet make for an excellent laugh too. The text message was definitely funny. I say the book isn't the best of the series, but here's the rating for books 1 to 6:
1. The Lost Colony
2. The Opal Deception
3. THe Time Paradox
4. The Arctic Incident
5. Artemis Fowl
6. The Eternity Code
