Better than Artemis Fowl?

I liked the Artemis Fowl series better. Reasons:
1. there's more books so enjoyment time is longer
2. Some books you can dream about what would happen if this had happened and not this. They often make the best sort. Airman is too... Realistically grounded. (Oh, the irony.) Your daydreams won't fly because there's no where for them to start off from.
3. The humor seems to be more quiet. In Artemis Fowl (the series), your mouth might start hurting because it's in that grin so long. Airman, quiet chuckles.
4. I also happen to favor the realms of daydream-y fantasy more than scienticfic-ky types of fiction. Science has daydream crushing laws.

I think it is wrong to compare "Artemis Fowl" and "Airman". Both of them are really awesome and amazing books, just like all Colfer's.
I'm from Russia and read it in our translation, and I must say that translation is pretty good either. I loved it. Eoin Colfer forever!

I read the whole of Airman rather quickly, as of course it was Eoin and he is the best author ever, but I didn't like it as much as I liked Artemis. I think because I read it quickly I didn't have a chance to get bored. I read really quickly anyway, so signs of me really liking a book is taking my time the second time I read it. I have got Airman, but I've never read it since. It wasn't as good as Artemis. I liked the Supernaturlist much more than Airman, but neither have quite reached the same level as AF.

Personally I think the story line is better than the Artemis Fowl books. Sort of like a classic. Just plain literary awesomeness. I also think Eoin Colfer got his inspiration from various classics:
1-The Count Of Monte Cristo,

2-Ivanhoe (there is a song in the book named 'The Crusaders Return', like 'The  Soldiers Return', and there is a Templar who is described as a man who feared not the earth and held no awe of heaven, like Bonvilain),

3-The idea for Bonvilain dying because he poisoned himself, I think, came from history itself, where a guy who was fighting against the Crusades, named Baybars, killed himself while trying to poison an enemy.

I think I'd have to say AF was better, but I enjoyed the Airman a lot. Although not as much as The Wish List

I definitely liked Airman better. I mean, I love the AF books to death, but Airman inspired me to start going after my dreams. I know, cheezy, but it did. Don't judge me.
