Don't burst my bubbles; I'll get depressed.

Indeed. Evil laughs are sooo cliched. Most of the characters seem to go through a great deal to avoid them.

In retrospect, looking over the whole series, I would have to say that my favorite Artemis began in book 3 and ended in book 6. He was too mean in numbers 1 and 2, and he was too nice and wimpy in 7. I like the "in-between" stage where he was still devious enough to plot evil schemes without twinges of conscience but was loyal to the friends he had.
And what the heck is this whole "save the world" thing going? I hated that! It was like Artemis got this brain transplant or something, since when does Artemis Fowl save the world through ecological conservation?? I mean, honestly, I think this pushed it a little bit too far. Screw the Ice Cube - give me The Cube any day lol

The whole thing is supposed to be out of character for Artemis, as demonstrated by Orion.

I hope so, and if the 8th is really going to be the last book, then Orion had better SCRAM because I do NOT want him hogging Artemis's spotlight for the LAST BOOK!! How stinky was that, Orion getting to be the hero of TAC?? sheesh. *does Rily Poole voice* I hate that guy.

Hey, we could have Orion's consciousness transmitted into another body like with Abbott!  Actually, that might be awkward...

lol that would be an idea situation . . . maybe THAT'S how the AC is finally worked out in book 8, if Abbot is trying to get Artemis's mind . . . he could deport Orion's instead!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I like Orion. I am totally in love with the idea of having Arty going back to being pure evil (maybe even eviler than before....) and having Orion be his second personality. I mean, multiple personalities are fun XD

It can be confusing for your friends though.

"Hi, Sarah, how are you today?"
"Oh, no, today I'm Jackie."
"Sorry, which one was that again?"
"The one that..."

This could go on for hours.

Artemis has an evil smile *shrugs*

He should have an evil mannerism. *maniacal laughter as he makes the motion of applying hand lotion* IT'S EVIL! Cheesy

I have to say I like the evil Artemis, but what I like mostly is when he was  in between. Around TAI or TEC. I liked that whole, "I'm evil and sneaky, but I can still be nice to you. But you know, not really. You know?"

I can totally hear Artemis say that :B

I loved the evil Artemis. I used to have an imaginary friend called Daniel (he soon became my half-multiple... it's weird) who was exactly like the old Arty. It was weird but I guess old Artemis I could relate to far better than the new one. Call me sociopathic, but hey. I think the Orion character would have worked better if there had been more of a contrast than there already was, like if Artemis had still only had half a conscience niggling at the back of his brain, and it ended up being Orion or another personality that was the niggling feeling.

I would like to see "evil" Artemis resurfacing, but I highly doubt that Eoin will do that. If anything I think he'll make Arty even less like something I can relate to.
That's just me *shrugs*  Roll Eyes

Being a centaur would be pretty awesome, as I think I'd have slightly more co-ordination when I walk. I swear I never grasped this whole two legs idea xD
