If you look in the first book, on page 30, on line 18, (the second to last line,) it states: "Artemis cracked his knuckles." Now, if you look in the 3rd book, The Eternity Code, and turn to page 15, on the 5th line from the top, it states, "Spiro cracked his knuckles, a habit Artemis detested." Perhaps Artemis changed his mind, or Eoin made a mistake?

It's possible either way you look at it. Maybe it changed after he encoutered certain people in the first book.

in book 1 grub's main 'slogan' is telling mommy but in the following books, grub is the "complaing guy"
did anyone else notice that?

That's great that you are so observant, but you see, people generally crack their knuckles when about to undertake a large or magnificent task. I think that Artemis doing it was less for the substance of the event then for the underlying message: He was about to do something big.

Yeah. I think with Spiro it's a kind of absentminded habit, which is really annoying. In my psychology lesson today my friend cracked his knuckles and everyone winced. It was horrible! XD
