My sis has quite a collection of Babysitter books, and I was reading them when I was like, 8, but I've never read them again since. Actually the draggiest book i've ever read is Fahrenheit something, by Ray Bradbury if i remember correctly. I know it's supposed to be a great book and all, but i didn't even get past the first few pages without almost falling asleep. And Animal Farm wasn't good either.

Fahrenheit 451, I believe: it's the temperature at which books burn. Cry  My mom read that aloud to us on a car trip a looooong time ago and it gave me nightmares for a week... burning books.  That should be a sin... and illegal.

I didn't like them much, I tried reading the Ruby in the Smoke, and The tiger in the well, but I found the character Sally Lockhart, just plain annoying!

I liked the Spiderwick Chronicles, but I'm sure the movie will suck.

I despise Eragona and Eldest, cliche'd, slow paced, Zero originality...

Anyone else here read The Babysitters Club?  Don't.  It's this club of girls who babysit...they're 13 year olds who think they're 16.  Tongue

Do I see a show of hands for Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm?  I have tried reading this multiple times, each time hoping it'll get better...it never does.  I've never gotten past Chapter 2.  BoooorrrriiiiinnnnG!

Really? I liked Eragon and Eldest. I think theyre like amazing but the movie was...insert bad word here... Yeah Eldest has some boring parts *cough cough* Roran parts....but i skimmed....hehe Whaaaaa? No originality? Its one of the most original books i cant think of. Lol i am very touchy.

Haven't you ever seen the star wars movies? Eragon is exactly like them, almost down to the age of the characters!

Star Wars?! Shocked I wouldn't have said they were like Star Wars at all.
They are like some books but the not whole book is.

They weren't meaning the style of writing, but the plot.  The plot is almost identical to the Starwars plot, and the setting and races is copied almost exactly from Lord of the Rings.

Also, the 'language' was just a bunch of cobbled together random letters. Those books weren't exactly my favorites. I still read them, mostly because I like to insult them.

Actually, the ancient language was based on Old Norse.  I read it in an interview with the author once.
