What are the worst book(s) you have ever read?

Ok, i have been looking through this forum, and got alot of ideas for what i need to read in the future. But often we don't need to know which books we need to read, but which books we DON'T need to read. Often a boring book can be traumatising to get through, and you can momentarily loose the will to read anything.

Im rarely used to this, with books i pick myself, but books im demanded to read by my school, can sometimes be awfull.

We all have our personal preferences, so if you absolut disagree that a book thats been told to be bad in this thread, really isn't, you are welcome to tell us otherwise. :-)

So lets hear about the terribel books you've been reading all.

The worst book I have probably ever read is maybe milkweed? It's this book about the Jewish and the Ghetto back then. I mean, it got it's point across, the ghetto sucks, but it just to me was boring and made no sense. As far as I can remember, it's told first person, and by a seven year old unschooled character.

Hmm...usually the books that I read are ones with lots of praise and awards...and none of them were bad (obviously  Tongue)

I'm not sure about CHERUB, though...perhaps it's the worst series I've ever read, or perhaps not...  Undecided

I really hated the Naming.
I didn't finish it, it was just so terrible. I know that Fantasy books have a lot of cliches, but this book just used every single cliche and pasted them all together to create a boring, pointless, unoriginal book.

Wauv, never read that one, almost sounds so bad like i almost need to see it Tongue

Well a book at school which also is a movie btw is "Educating Rita." Now this book was about a girl from the London gettho, who goes to university to study, and she learns alot while she has to tackle her life in the workingclass gettho.

Now we did see the movie, wasn't as bad as the book, but i would still call it a big B-movie really.

Well it was so boring, and so hard to relate to for me and my classmates, that it was two very long months, working with this awful peace of english litterature.

But please tell me if any disagree Smiley

Okay... I absolutly despised The Spiderwick Chronicles...ugh. Its probly just me though because they are making a movie out of them or something. I was forced to read them in 6th grade so i grabed the whole series and read them in a matter of 2 hours. Easily my least favorite books ever.

Is it just me? *sigh* For some odd reason I want to pick up all the books you guys say are bad and read them just to see. Lol reverse phsycology is a strange thing eh?

Dune.  Hands-down, the worst book I ever read.  Or, rather, the series of books.  My friend suggested the first one to me, brought it to school one day, and gave it to me to read.  I read it, then kept going until God-Emperor of Dune, number 4.  I gave it back before even opening it.  THEN (because I clearly didn't have enough of it! [/sarcasm]) I read The Butlerian Jihad, and started The Machine Crusades (which came next).  Halfway through TMC, I gave it back. My friend flipped out (I rarely give up on books before finishing them) but I've never looked back since.  It goes nowhere, very slowly.

I liked the Spiderwick Chronicles, but I'm sure the movie will suck.

I despise Eragona and Eldest, cliche'd, slow paced, Zero originality...

Anyone else here read The Babysitters Club?  Don't.  It's this club of girls who babysit...they're 13 year olds who think they're 16.  Tongue

Do I see a show of hands for Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm?  I have tried reading this multiple times, each time hoping it'll get better...it never does.  I've never gotten past Chapter 2.  BoooorrrriiiiinnnnG!
