Ok, Idk if this will work the way I hope, but let’s try to have a competition. You can see it in the title, how many authors can you name? This is for fun, and to help anybody (including me) to find fresh books to read. Please don’t copy what other people have already said. Try to name all the authors you already know about on the top of your head. Thanks. I will update the winner each day.

Current leader: youthfull
# of authors named: 51

Original topic by Eaber.
Do I really need to elaborate on the title?
I really liked this topic on the old forum because I found a lot of good books through it…
So the one I’m reading currently is There Is No Dog by Meg Rosoff. So far, I love it!
This is the best description I found: What if God were a teenaged boy?

In the beginning, Bob created the heavens and the earth and the beasts of the field and the creatures of the sea, and twenty-five million other species (including lots of cute girls). But mostly he prefers eating junk food and leaving his dirty clothes in a heap at the side of his bed.

Every time he falls in love, Earth erupts in natural disasters, and it’s usually Bob’s beleaguered assistant, Mr. B., who is left cleaning up the mess. So humankind is going to be very sorry indeed that Bob ever ran into a beautiful, completely irresistible girl called Lucy . . .

It’s funny, surprising and profound. :D You should read it.

So! This is where you talk about the books that you were unfortunate enough to read….

(Original by MulchDiggumsRox66. I’m trying to find old popular topics and throw them here so that it’s less empty.)
One of my favourite (non-EC) books is Another Note (The L.A. B.B. Murder Cases). It was based off Death Note (the manga/anime), but that’s not why I liked it. It was fast-paced, and had a lot of thought put into it. The person who wrote it had to be a real genius to figure out the situations.
But my all time favourites (other than ones written by Eoin Colfer) were ones written by Dr. Seuss, because they rhym like a boss XD
